If you're unable to pack one yourself, Amazon has many, and you can attach a nice note to it. Here is a link to one I would've enjoyed getting when I was in college which is only $23.29 currently.

On my college pages, there are some people who sell various treats. For example, one young lady makes and delivers chocolate-covered strawberries. She can decorate them with our college colors, for various themes, etc. Others sell cookies or meal prep kits. It is a great way to send your student a gift while also supporting young college entrepreneurs. You can look to see if there is anything like that in your student's area. The parent pages for the college may know of opportunities.

Money is always a great idea! That (sorta) joke aside, what would remind them of home? Their favorite treat, a souvenir from their hometown or state, etc. What are they probably out of? Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. – that stuff we all need but forget to buy until the last minute (and that college shops often severely overpriced!). Quarters for laundry or a gift card to a local grocery store would help immensely, too.

Pictures from home or a nice card or note will never go amiss, either. Younger siblings or relatives can create things for them, too. No matter how tough and not homesick the student claims to be, they will appreciate this a lot.

A care box is a package filled with items that are intended to provide comfort and support to the recipient. Care boxes are typically sent to loved ones who are going through a difficult time or who may need a pick-me-up. They can be customized to include a variety of items such as snacks, personal care items, small gifts, and even notes or letters of encouragement.

Putting together a care box for a college student is a thoughtful way to show your love and support. Here are some ideas of what to include in a care box for a college student:

Snacks and treats: College students are often busy and on the go, so including some of their favorite snacks and treats is a great idea. Consider including some healthy options like granola bars, dried fruit, or trail mix, as well as some indulgent treats like chocolates or cookies.

Self-care items: College can be stressful, so including some self-care items like face masks, bath bombs, or essential oils can help your student relax and unwind.

School supplies: Make sure your student is ready for class by including some school supplies like pens, pencils, highlighters, notebooks, or a planner.

Personalized items: Add a personal touch to the care box by including some items that reflect your student's interests or hobbies. For example, if they love to read, include a book by their favorite author, or if they love to knit, include some yarn and needles.

Tech gadgets: College students often rely on technology for their studies and social life. Consider including some tech gadgets like headphones, a phone charger, or a portable speaker.

Laundry supplies: Doing laundry can be a chore, so including some laundry supplies like detergent pods, dryer sheets, or a laundry hamper can be helpful.

Photos and memories: College can be a time of homesickness, so including some photos or mementos from home can help your student feel more connected. You can also include a frame or album to display the photos.

Remember, the most important thing is to show your love and support for your college student. A care box is a great way to do that, but don't forget to stay in touch regularly and offer your encouragement and guidance.

A care box for a college student is a great way to show your love and support for them while they are away from home. Here are some ideas for items to include:

Snacks: College students love snacks, so consider including their favorite chips, candy, or granola bars.

School supplies: Pens, notebooks, and highlighters are always useful for a college student.

Personal care items: Consider including items like lip balm, hand sanitizer, or tissues.

Entertainment: A deck of cards, a puzzle, or a favorite book can help a college student relax during their downtime.

Photos or mementos: A few photos of family and friends or a small item that reminds them of home can be a great comfort when they're feeling homesick.

Gift cards: A gift card to a local restaurant or coffee shop is a great way to give your student a little treat and encourage them to get out and explore their new surroundings.

Remember to personalize the care box to the student's interests and needs, and consider adding a note of encouragement or a heartfelt message to let them know how much you care.
