Yea, you may find yourself in a location where an audience is not readily available. Do not verbally engage the person harassing you unless they make a move to approach you or you feel in immediate danger. If they start toward you, do not hesitate to scream and yell so that people in the area might hear you and look out their windows. Yell the phrases above, or make it very clear that contact isn't welcome with a firm, loud "BACK OFF!" or "GO AWAY!" Be firm. Commit and do not waver or sound unsure. I tend to throw in a few swear words for good measure, but that's just me.

Pepper Spray -- Relatively easy to find at places like hardware stores or sporting goods stores. Go for the handheld size, not the giant bear-repellent size you might buy for camping. Most models have a little safety cap above the trigger to make it nearly impossible to press the button on accident. An elastic band that you can slip over your hand is helpful, as it prevents the canister from being knocked out of your hand so easily. Use is pretty self-explanatory. If an assailant comes at you, hold your arm out straight away from you and spray into the face. When contact is made and they're grabbing their eyes and screaming, you RUN!

You can watch this video to learn the physical aspect of the defense. However, this article will complement other self-defense tips; how to defend yourself from an attack in 5 essential moves

I hope you find the tips helpful.

Before going out, the first thing I find that is very essential is telling a loved one where you’re going. So if something happens to you, someone can give details on your whereabouts. It is also important to be prepared, like knowing where the nearest police station is at or where the busy street full of people is at, so that if someone posed as a threat to you, you would know where to go. Arming yourself with pepper spray is also not a bad thing.

Crimes happen whether you are alone or with someone, whether it’s night time or in broad daylight. So always be aware of your surroundings especially if you find yourself in isolated locations. Those advices above are just general safety tips but if you still find yourself being confronted by an attacker, this video have the easiest and the most effective ways to defend yourself. Stay safe.

The first thing you want to do if you’re attacked from behind is create a scene. SCREAM AS LOUD AS YOU CAN. YELL FOR HELP. Once the attacker start to draw attention, they will usually give up. Second, you need to drop to the ground so it makes it harder for them to grab you. Drop all your body weight so you both are on the ground. This makes it harder for them to take you. REALLY IMPORTANT TIP: ALWAYS!!! attack back in vulnerable spots. Poke them in the eyes, kick them in the ******** as hard as you can, and punch them in the throat. These are very sensitive spots and will most likely stop the attack. Last tip, always be aware of your surroundings. Look around and take note of who and what is around you. If you suspect someone is following you, walk 4 blocks in a circle. If they’re still behind you, you’re being followed. Stay safe.
