The best way to handle first-date jitters is to be prepared. Plan by picking a fun activity, getting a
new outfit, and mentally preparing yourself for the date. Then, on the day of, take some deep
breaths and remind yourself that you're amazing just the way you are.
Remember that your date is just as nervous as you are, so try to relax and have fun! It's also
important to listen carefully, ask about their interests, and show an interest in what they have to
say. And if it's going well? Great!
Ask them again, or tell them how much you enjoyed spending time with them. If it didn't go well?
That's OK, too- life happens. You don't need to feel bad about it- just try again next time with
someone else!

The best way to handle first-date jitters is to remember that everyone feels them. They're
normal! The key is to focus on why you're excited to meet this person and what you have in
common.
If you can do that, the jitters will dissipate, and you'll be able to enjoy yourself. Once your mind
is off your nerves, it's easier to converse with someone. And if you're still feeling anxious? Ask a
question about something they said during the date so you don't feel like it's all up to you for a
little while.
