According to the show's IMDb page, Die Hart is a show where Kevin Hart is playing a fictional version of himself. The premise is that Hart's character wants to become an action star and with some help, he might actually be able to do it. The show was written by Tripper Clancy and Derek Kolstad. Kolstad wrote for the John Wick trilogy as well so he's an experienced action writer. If it was based on a true story Kevin Hart would have gotten some writing credit. I'm sure there are some aspects that are inspired by real-life events but in the way that most TV shows are.
