No. First off, the majority pay to obtain a job and this is no small amount. Securing a spot at a top restaurant costs a lot. Then, you have to tip the chefs, the bus boy, the bartender, the sommelier, and a large number of other staff members.

There are some top-tier restaurants that pay head waiters as much as $80,000 to $150,000 per year according to industry executives and to whom much is given, much is expected.
