Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) degree holds the most value.
Among the best bachelor degrees and the most lucrative credentials in our ranking is the unique Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) major. This major covers in-demand skills and concepts in the fields of both electrical engineering and computer science.
My brother majored in Electrical Engineering and I can say that my parents are really happy about it.

If you're looking to impress your parents with your college degree, consider earning a degree in a highly respected field or demand. For example, medicine, law, or engineering degrees are sure to impress.

Alternatively, you could earn a degree from a prestigious university or one well-known for its program in your desired field. Of course, earning any degree at an Ivy League school will likely leave a good impression on your parents.

If you're looking to impress your parents with your college degree, there are a few things to consider.

● First, what is their educational background? If they didn't finish college or only have a high school diploma, then any college degree will likely impress them.

● However, they may be more impressed by degrees in law or medicine if they have a graduate degree.

 ● Second, what is their occupation? Is it something like engineering or computer science? Then pursue an engineering or computer science degree.

● Third, is it something like nursing or teaching? Then pursue nursing or teaching instead.

● Finally, does the person want grandchildren one day and feel better about the child being educated in their field of expertise so they can continue the family tradition (e.g., dentist)? In this case, pursuing dentistry might be the way to go!

It is difficult to define the "most impressive" college degrees, as the value of a degree can vary widely depending on individual goals, interests, and career aspirations. However, here are a few examples of degrees that are often highly regarded:

Medicine: A degree in medicine is typically considered one of the most prestigious and impressive degrees, as it requires a great deal of specialized knowledge, skill, and dedication to complete. Medical professionals also have the opportunity to make a significant impact on people's lives and contribute to the advancement of medical science.

Law: A degree in law is also highly regarded, as it requires extensive study and the development of critical thinking, analytical, and argumentation skills. Lawyers have the opportunity to shape society and defend the rights of individuals and organizations.

Engineering: A degree in engineering can be highly impressive, as it requires advanced technical and mathematical skills, and can lead to a variety of high-paying and rewarding careers in fields such as aerospace, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering.

Business: A degree in business can be impressive, as it can provide students with a broad range of skills in areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, and management, which are highly sought after by employers in many industries.

Computer Science: A degree in computer science is increasingly in demand, as the world becomes more and more reliant on technology. Computer science graduates have the skills to develop and design complex software systems and applications, and can work in a variety of industries, from healthcare to finance to entertainment.

Again, it's important to note that the value of a degree is highly dependent on individual factors, such as personal interests and career goals. A degree that is impressive for one person may not be as impressive for another, so it's important to choose a degree program that aligns with your own interests and aspirations.

It's important to choose a college degree that aligns with your personal interests and career goals, rather than solely trying to impress your parents. Pursuing a degree that you are passionate about and that will lead to a fulfilling career is ultimately more important than seeking approval from others. However, if you are looking for some examples of degrees that are often perceived as prestigious, some popular options include:

  1. Medicine
  2. Law
  3. Engineering
  4. Business
  5. Computer Science
  6. Economics
  7. Architecture
  8. Mathematics
  9. Political Science
  10. Natural Sciences (e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

Keep in mind that what impresses your parents may not necessarily be the same as what impresses others or what will make you the most happy and fulfilled in your career.
