Most orchids require moist, well-draining conditions. Place orchids in an east to south-facing window or room. These plants prefer bright, indirect light. Insufficient light results in poor flowering. However, too much light can lead to leaf scorch. Temperature is also important for indoor orchid care. While orchids tolerate cooler or warmer temperatures throughout their normal growing season, they need to be about 15 degrees (8 degrees C) cooler at night than during the day in order to bloom sufficiently. Don’t leave them where they’ll be in a draft or too close to a vent.
Sit your orchid in a larger container of water for about 15 minutes.  Doing this every few weeks will allow for the planting materials to absorb water and slowly release that back to the roots.

If I am not mistaking, this is a Phalaenopsis (Moth Orchid). It is a type of Dendrobium Orchid. It’s the good kind if you are just a beginner because they’re easy-going plants. It can withstand temperatures up to 93 degrees Fahrenheit.

So how do you take care of this kind of orchid? First is, you should put it where it will be exposed to bright but indirect sunlight. Do not put in under direct sunlight because there’s a big chance it will burn. These orchids tend to grow close to rivers and streams, so make sure to keep it in an area of about 50% humidity. I highly suggest to put a plate or a pan of water close to the orchid.
