I’m having a hard time squatting with my knee. Are there any other exercises that are close to as effective that may be less strain on your knee? Thanks.

There are a couple of different alternative exercises you can do in place of squatting.

If you have a stability ball you can place it between your back and the wall and slightly lean back against the ball with your fit shoulder-width length apart. In this position, you'll be taking pressure off the knees and can adjust to your comfort level.

Another option is reverse lunges, they're easier on the knees once you get the motions down. You should be feeling this exercise in your glutes and shouldn't put weight on the leg you put behind you. Traditional forward lunges will only put more strain on your knees so reverse lunges will give you the best results.
