How much would could a wood chuck chuck if a would chuck could chuck wood?
This is not a serious question, but it is in fact an American English-language tongue-twister, that first appeared in 1902 in the comical song "The Woodchuck Song": 1904 version and two years ago, (2020) a updated pop version was released and charted in Sweden, peaking at number 12 there.
Interestingly, the New York fish and wildlife department did calculate that a woodchuck, which is a large type of ground squirrel, could theoretically move about 700 pounds (320 kg) of lumber in a day!
They are also known as groundhogs and weigh on average about 13 pounds (6 kg).
